Autos Through the Ages Car Show
The East Tennessee Antique Automobile Club is partnering with West Chevrolet, Twin City Buick/GMC and the Smoky Mountain Tourism Development Authority to present the 2023 “Autos through the Ages” car show July 15.
The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend and will boast a collection of over 140 antique vehicles.
“It’s not just an opportunity to look,” Antique Automobile Club board member Tim Seay said. “It it’s also an opportunity to learn about the history of these vehicles.”
Visitors will be able to see rare antique vehicles such as one of nine existing 1949 Buick Roadmaster Woodies, a 1966 Chrysler Imperial Convertible and a 1927 Model T Mail Truck as well as newer vehicles such as a 2018 Tesla electric car and a 2020 Chevy Corvette. There will also be a 1955 Buick dressed as a replica of the car driven by famed racer Fireball Roberts.
The East Tennessee Antique Automobile Club wishes anyone wanting to participate in the show to contact Tim Seay at timaseay@gmail.com.
